Silver Lavender Hiccups (Kramer, 2017)

2024 Update: One double fan available for $20.00

I brought home this plant from 2022 Regionals. It looks like there are fun textures on this one.

2023: The first blooms aren't as stunning as I'd hoped. I'm hopeful that next year this will make a better showing.

2024: The second year is definitely better!  The color on the petals manifests as spotted. I love the look!

Color: Soft silver lavender petals with lighter sepals, darker lavender eyezone with green throat, darker lavender ruffled petals, and prominent veins. Flower Form: single.

Mountain Kaleidoscope (Keast-T., 2010)

 2024 Update: No extra fans.

I just brought this daylily home from Regionals. I can't wait to see this one in my garden. I have a nice sized clump I'm getting into the ground tomorrow.

Color: purple burgundy with blue lavender eye radiating to yellow green throat

Parentage: (Spooner × Stargate Portal)

scape height  42 in, (107 cm)
bloom size  7.5 in, (19 cm)

Crispate

2023 Update: It's so pretty!  I love the huge blooms and the differently colored petals and septals.

2024 Update: I like the watercolor fade on the petals. This daylily is still at the old place with the rest of the diploids. It has a small clump. I'm hoping for a larger clump next year!

I'm not 100% sure why I ordered this daylily except that it was close to purple. It has a small bloom and it's a short plant. I don't think I'll use it for my hybridzing program, but I'll put it in a display area.

Indian Giver

Color: purple with lavender edge and medium purple watermark above green throat
scape height  20 in, (51 cm)
bloom size  4.5 in, (11 cm)
bloom season  Early-Midseason,
Rebloom
ploidy  Diploid

8/2020 Update: In my garden, Indian Giver isn't the blue purple like the "official" picture. It's a red purple. It's lovely and I'm glad I have it in my garden, but in case someone is reading my blog interested in this plant, be aware that the shade for me wasn't true to the color on the daylily society's database picture. This flower is fertile in the pod and pollen.

I purchased this plant that was labeled Kingdom without End. Well, it doesn't quite match. This happens sometimes. A seed probably dropped right by the mother plant and that was the fan dug up. I'm not disappointed because it's a stunning bloom!
