I brought this home from 2022 Regionals. I like the dark eye against the medium pink. It should be lovely in person.

2023: I got a few blooms. It's not in a great place. I'm hoping if I move it, it will do better.

2024: I reaaaaally need to move this poor flower. I have a new home ready for it when it's done blooming.

Silver Lavender Hiccups (Kramer, 2017)

I brought home this plant from 2022 Regionals. It looks like there are fun textures on this one.

2023: The first blooms aren't as stunning as I'd hoped. I'm hopeful that next year this will make a better showing.

2024: The second year is definitely better!  The color on the petals manifests as spotted. I love the look!

Color: Soft silver lavender petals with lighter sepals, darker lavender eyezone with green throat, darker lavender ruffled petals, and prominent veins. Flower Form: single.

I'm not 100% sure why I ordered this daylily except that it was close to purple. It has a small bloom and it's a short plant. I don't think I'll use it for my hybridzing program, but I'll put it in a display area.

I never planned on buying a regular yellow day lily until I saw this one. The blooms grow taller than me! I am going to cross this with everything and see what else I can get that towers.

8/2020 Update: Notify Ground Crew put off a scape, but didn't have a lot of foliage to help support it. The scape fell over and the bend in the stalk caused the plant to abort it. No blooms for 2020, but I think it will do better next year.

2023 Update: As the root system has grown and there are multiple fans supporting the scapes, the flowers are almost as tall as I am at 5' 10". 

2024: It's in a nice large clump now. These are fantastic! I'm a tall woman and I love that these blooms are at eye level.
